It's still a big wish of mine to someday go on a cruise, but unfortunately the financial resources do not allow it.
I will have to take pleasure in ship visits and enjoy the tour on board these ships.
In the meantime, the counter is on 5 cruise ships (AIDAprima, Costa Magica, MSC Splendida, Nautica and ss Rotterdam).
Four ships are still in active service and one ship is already out of service and serves as museum/hotel ship.

In August 2016, the Cruise Days took place. Cruise Travel offer again the opportunity to take a look on board a cruise ship. The locations were the Cruise Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) and the Cruise Terminal in Rotterdam and I had chosen of a visit on Thursday, August 18th, on board of the cruise ship AIDAprima, which was moored in the port of Rotterdam.
During a tour you got the chance to walk along all the facilities and common areas of the ship, pools, lounge, restaurants and some balcony cabins. This cruise ship is really directed at the younger audience with children. It was also, after the tour, a delicious buffet selection offered in the East restaurant.

This cruise ship is a regular visitor to the Amsterdam harbor for the cruise season 2017. Today, Wednesday, August 30th, 2017, it was time
to be able to watch on board. This tour and lunch on board were organized by Cruiseriziger and Zeetours.
Costa Magica is a cruise ship for the Costa Crociere cruise line. She debuted in 2004 as a sister ship to Costa Fortuna,
built on the same platform as the Destiny-class of the Carnival Cruise Lines. She is one of the largest in the Costa Crociere fleet.

On september 11, 2015, cruise ship MSC Splendida was moored in the port of Amsterdam.
Earlier in 2015, I had seen this cruise ship twice in Rotterdam, after it was deflected by storm from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, but unfortunately I could not on board. But today I was one of 125 invitees aboard for a lunch and tour on this beautiful new cruise ship of MSC Cruises.
Some ship details; in service 2009, length 333 meters, 18 decks with 1637 cabins, place for 3900 passengers & number of crew members 1313.
On june 15, 2016, I could get a preview of the cruise ship Nautica of Oceania Cruises.
This cruise ship was moored in Amsterdam and I had given me for extended tour aboard, followed by a luxurious lunch of small culinary delights.
Nautica is a cruise ship, built by Renaissance cruises as part of their R class. She was built in 2000 by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France for Renaissance Cruises as MS R Five, but since 2005 the ship entering service with her current owners.
Nautica is one of the classic luxury cruise ships with typical English looks (stylish, attractive and cosiness).
Some ship details; in service 2000, length 181 meters, 11 decks with 342 cabins, place for 684 passengers & number of crew members 386.
The fifth ss Rotterdam, also known as "The Grande Dame", is a former ocean liner and cruise ship of Holland Americe Line.
She was launched by Queen Juliana of the Netherlands in a gala ceremony on 13 September 1958, and was completed the following summer.
The Rotterdam (V) was the last great Dutch "ship of state", employing the finest artisans from the Netherlands in her construction and fitting out process.
Her career spanned forty-one years. She returned to the city of Rotterdam on August 8, 2008 and now in use as museum/hotel ship.
